Last Updated: 11-26-2025

1. Introduction

PrepperJohnny.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our website at https://prepperjohnny.com (the “Site”) to do the same.

This DMCA / Copyright Policy explains how we handle claims of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and other applicable copyright laws.

If you believe that material available on or through the Site infringes your copyright, you may submit a notification as described below.

2. Our Role & User-Generated Content

The Site includes user-generated content, such as comments that visitors may post on articles or pages. We do not pre-screen or pre-approve all User Content before it is posted.

However, in accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, it is our policy to:

  • Respond to properly submitted notices of alleged copyright infringement; and

  • Remove or disable access to content that we believe infringes or may be infringing; and

  • In appropriate circumstances, terminate or restrict access for users who are repeat infringers.

3. How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied, posted, or otherwise made available on our Site in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may send us a written DMCA notice.

To be effective, your DMCA notice must include the following information (this is legal language based on DMCA requirements):

  1. Your contact information, including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.

  2. Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or, if multiple works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.

  3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing (or to be the subject of infringing activity) and that you request to be removed or to which access is to be disabled, with enough detail to allow us to locate the material on the Site (for example, a specific URL or direct link).

  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

  5. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

  6. An electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed (for example, typing your full name at the end of the email may be treated as your signature).

4. Where to Send Your DMCA Notice

Please send your DMCA notice to:

DMCA / Copyright Agent
PrepperJohnny.com

City, State ZIP
United States

Email: email@email.com

For faster processing, email is generally preferred, but you may also send notices by mail.

5. What Happens After We Receive a DMCA Notice

When we receive a properly formatted DMCA notice:

  1. We will review the notice to confirm it includes the required information.

  2. If we believe the notice is valid, we will make a good-faith effort to:

    • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material; and

    • Notify the user who posted the material (if reasonably possible) that we have removed or disabled access to it.

  3. In appropriate circumstances, and at our sole discretion, we may:

    • Restrict, suspend, or terminate the ability of a user to post comments or other User Content;

    • Treat users as repeat infringers and restrict their access to the Site.

We may also keep a record of DMCA notices and related communications.

6. Counter-Notification (If Your Content Was Removed)

If we removed or disabled access to content you posted in response to a DMCA notice, and you believe that removal or disabling was a mistake or that you have the legal right to use the content, you may submit a counter-notification.

To be effective, a counter-notification must include:

  1. Your contact information, including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.

  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled (for example, the specific URL).

  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification of the material.

  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Missouri, United States, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice or that person’s agent.

  5. Your electronic or physical signature (for example, typing your full name at the end of the email may be treated as your signature).

7. Where to Send a Counter-Notification

Please send your counter-notification to:

DMCA / Copyright Agent
PrepperJohnny.com
Street Address
City, State ZIP
United States

Email: email@email.com

8. What Happens After a Counter-Notification

After we receive a valid counter-notification:

  1. We may forward a copy of the counter-notification to the original complaining party.

  2. If required by law, we may inform the original complaining party that we will replace the removed material or cease disabling access to it within a certain period (typically 10–14 business days), unless we receive notice that the original complaining party has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain you from engaging in infringing activity related to the material.

  3. At our discretion and subject to applicable law, we may restore the content or maintain its removal, based on the information available and any legal obligations.

We are not obligated to restore any content and may choose not to do so even after receiving a counter-notification, particularly if we believe the material may still infringe third-party rights or otherwise violate our Terms & Conditions or Comment & Community Guidelines.

9. Misrepresentations & Abuse of the DMCA Process

Under the DMCA, any person who knowingly misrepresents that:

  • Material or activity is infringing, or

  • Material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification,

may be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) incurred by the alleged infringer, the copyright owner, or us.

Please ensure that you honestly and accurately represent your claims in DMCA notices and counter-notifications. Abuse of this process may result in legal consequences.

10. Repeat Infringers

Consistent with the DMCA and other applicable laws, it is our policy, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, to:

  • Restrict, suspend, or terminate access to comment or community features; and/or

  • Restrict or terminate access to the Site

for users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyrighted material or who repeatedly violate our Terms & Conditions, Comment & Community Guidelines, or other policies.
