If you found this site, you're probably already thinking about what it would look like if things got difficult. Maybe you're new to preparedness and not sure where to start. Maybe you've been at it for a while and want to sharpen your skills. Either way, you're in the right place.
My name is Prepper Johnny. I'm 55 years old and I live in Missouri. My preparedness journey actually started back in 1999. Like a lot of people at the time, Y2K had me thinking about what could happen if things went sideways. When the new year came and went without incident, I stepped away from it — and didn't give it much thought for several years.
But eventually I found my way back, and this time for reasons that ran deeper. My faith and an honest look at the world around me made it clear that hard times can come for any family, at any time — not because of any one event, but because that's simply the nature of life. When I thought about the people I love most — my mother, my nieces and nephews, my extended family, my closest friends — I knew I needed to be ready. And I knew I wanted them to be ready too.
My Background
I'm not a TV survival expert or a former special forces operator. I'm a regular person from the Midwest with genuine experience and a real passion for preparedness.
My background includes time in Boy Scouts, years of camping, fishing, and outdoor activities. I'm first aid and CPR certified and serve as a Safety Ambassador on my workplace safety committee. I've operated heavy equipment, hold a CDL and driven commercial trucks, and spent years building motorcycles at the Harley-Davidson assembly plant. I've also spent most of my adult life managing and training people — something I started doing at 16 years old and carried through most of my career. And I garden, which has taught me more about self-sufficiency than almost anything else.
Over the years I've stocked food, water, water filters, medications, multiple heat sources, and essential supplies. I've bought and tested survival gear, built real skills, and helped get most of my family started on their own preparedness journey. I'm still learning — and I always will be. But I've learned enough to know that preparedness is not complicated, not extreme, and not out of reach for anyone.

Who This Site Is For
PrepperJohnny.com is for anyone who wants to protect the people they love, build useful skills, and find genuine peace of mind. You don't need a big budget. You don't need a lot of experience. You just need to start.
Small steps add up. Every step forward matters. And I'm here to help you take them.
I also think about the long game. Even if I never need to use a single prep, what I've built will be here when I'm gone. My younger family members will have it — and that means something to me. I hope what you build here does the same for yours.
